Point Yacht Club – Power Boat Section

 

Whilst called the “Power Boat” Section the sections members are predominantly Ski Boat owners who enjoy the sport of angling either in the harbour or offshore. The section was established following the demise of the beach site facilities in late 2017 and was formalised under the Club Constitution at an SGM held on 17^th April 2019.

During this short period the section has grown to 50+ members, 20 “Ski Boat” shelters have been built and we have held our first very successful internal fishing competition in June 2019. The section is very family orientated and we try to encourage the whole family to participate in our sport and social functions. We have recently affiliated to the NDSAA and are in the process of forming youth and senior teams to start competing in NDSAA sanctioned events.

It is a section dominated by great comradeship and enthusiasm to build the section. The club offers secure parking, a large slipway with temporary tie-up facilities for easy launching and catering facilities to enjoy a beverage and meal.
