    Mauritius to Durban Ocean Race
    Starts 17 June 2017

2nd Entry Received – ‘Rocket’ – Herbert Karolius

Karolius is no stranger to ocean racing as he has competed in the last two Vasco da Gama Ocean races and competes in as many offshore events as possible. So it is not surprising that is the second entrant in the dash from Mauritius to Durban in June this year.

The interest in this race that has been shown since the first entry was announced just two days ago has been extraordinary.

‘Rocket’ is a great offshore boat – being 55′ in length and designed by Alex Simonis. With a crew of 8 she will be well sailed – with the emphasis being two-fold – serious fun coupled with serious racing.

Being a competitor in this years Vasco da Gama Race (for the third successive year) Karolius will be sailing his trusty steed to Mauritius – so when she hits the start line she will have been put through her paces and be well prepared for the rigours of ocean racing.
